"Transformed by the Word of God" - Women's Ministry Retreat

Saturday, February 26 from 9 am to 3 pm in the AMRBC Sanctuary
Master of Ceremony - Sherry Vaughn

...Have you ever struggled with what it really means to be "transformed" by the Word of God? Do you think it only happens in the lives of others but not necessarily yours? Are you afraid that you might not recognize transformation in your own life should it happen? Do you long to be a walking testimony of God's faithfulness?

If any of these questions are ones you ponder - or perhaps there are others - please come join us at the Women's Ministry Retreat on Saturday, February 26, 2011. At this retreat you will hear testimonies of everyday women who have encountered struggles, situations and/or just life itself along their journey and were transformed as a result. Women who have witnessed God first-hand at work in and through their lives. Women who have experienced transformation through the living, God-breathed, life-changing Word of God.

Won't you come join us for a day of praise and worship, testimonies and encouragement? As Sisters in Christ, let's support each other on our walk as we follow the commands of God...."Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2.

The cost of the retreat is yet to be determined.
Babysitting will not be provided.

“Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me.”
Psalm 69:1-2

Riding Waves of Grace, a 9-week Bible Study on the Life of Noah, delves deeply into the life of a man who was asked to build an ark of safety to save a wicked, evil, and corrupt generation from coming judgment—a worldwide flood. Righteous Noah surrendered his will and obeyed completely

Noah would find himself on the ride of his life, literally Riding Waves of Grace, as God brought him safely through the flood. The story of Noah is not just a children’s story or a history lesson, but contains great Biblical application for our lives today and points to another day in history when mankind will again be ripe for judgment—the day of Christ’s return!

Books are $20 and will be available at the first meeting.

On-line registration will be available at www.amrbc.org in January, or register by RSVP to this Facebook event.

Breaking Free Bible Study Date Change Updated

Breaking Free(Updated Edition) by Beth Moore. The Journey The Stories.
Facilitators Mrs. Kathi Mumpower and Mrs. Karen Bishop.

This Bible Study will start on January 18th 2011
It will be held at Anderson Mill Rd Baptist Church in Moore, SC
Start Time is 6:30 to 8:30 pm in Room 205.
It will take place on Tuesday evenings. The Bible Study will run from Jan 11th to March 15th 2011.

This in-depth women's Bible study draws parallels between the captive Israelites of the Old Testament and New Testament believers in Jesus as the Promised Messiah. Beth looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet's ministry. These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage.

Join Beth Moore on a Bible journey unlike any other. God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, experience His peace, and enjoy His presence. Breaking Free is Beth's life message that she wants to share with you. Taped live at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, this study includes testimonies of how women like you have found freedom and have been delivered from personal captivity.

Cost of book is $15, which will be collected in class.

Babysitting will not be provided.

Please register on-line at www.amrbc in January, RSVP at Facebook event, or email Kathi Mumpower at kmump253@charter.
